I started wearing makeup 2nd year college. It all started with a concealer because I had to cover my dark circles on my under eye area. And from that day onwards, I never failed to put on concealer when I go out of the house. Soon, I ventured out to find different makeup products.
I had no blemishes to cover back then, no zits or anything of that kind. Those were my lucky days. Now, all I can do is to reminisce those days. haha Zits started to come out of nowhere. There was a point I am never without a single zit. Every time I look at the mirror every morning to wash my face, I felt depression hovering over me. OA lang, but that was how I really felt before. Had no idea how to stop them from coming out and I scrambled to find ways to get them out of my face. haha
Now, I just let them come out if they want to. haha I just stick to a skincare routine to at least keep them at bay. But with that, I have to put on my makeup everyday when I go out of the house. On a daily basis, I prefer the sheer coverage and something that will control my oily skin. I only conceal my dark circles but never my blemishes or active breakouts. I'm afraid they would worsen. haha

So, here are my go-to's on a daily basis...
Makeup application is easier with this primer because it smoothes out the skin. But I'm not really sure if this primer minimizes my pores. More over I don't find it reducing the creasing I have on my under eye area. I just like the smoothening effect it gives and 'sayang' I have to finish this tube. Will I repurchase this? NO. I think the L'oreal Magic Base works better and is cheaper.
This is the 3rd foundation I got from Chanel. I got their Pro Lumiere and Mat Lumiere before but I wasn't hooked to them like I was with this foundation. This isn't medium or full coverage so its just perfect for an everyday sheer coverage. If you have this on, it won't look like you're wearing any makeup but skin is evened and brightened. If there truly is such a thing as Holy Grail Foundation, well this is the one for me. haha I got the shade in BO-02 Beige Tendre.
CONCEALER: Etude House Surpise Essence Concealer
Never in my dreams will I think that I will like this concealer. I just bought this on a whim when I was on my Etude shopping spree. And Surprise, surprise! As the name suggests, I go for this for my everyday concealing. Got the No.2 shade and it covers my dark circles decently and not overtly. ;)
I cannot stress how my T-Zone oils in the slightest hint of an increase in temperature. I always have to consider if a product will stay put on my oily skin. With this, I need to 'securely' set my makeup. Ordinary pressed powders don't work on my skin, oil wells in a couple of minutes. haha And I don't want to use a powder foundation because it will look cakey on my skin for an everyday makeup look. As of now, this Maybelline powder works great on my skin. Skin still gets oily but this powder helps in reducing sebum production.
BLUSH: Benefit Hervana
I am more of a blush junkie! I buy more blush than any other makeup product. haha And for me to stick to one blush means that I really am into it. Hervana for me is the perfect peachy pink blush that looks natural and fresh on my face. The blush is a swirl of different shades. It has some shimmers to it but its not too overpowering. I don't like super shimmery blushes because I have an oily skin.
BROWS: MAC Espresso Eyeshadow
I prefer using an eyeshadow of a dark brown color for filling in my brows. I trace my natural brow shape with a Real techniques brow definer brush and lighten it with a Laura Mercier spooley.
LIPS: Blistex Liptone
I dont like putting on lipstick on a daily basis. I just hate how sticky the lipstick or gloss feels on my lips. I prefer just swiping some balm on it to prevent it from chapping.

THAT'S IT! I also like to add that I do change my makeup routine depending on my feel that day. But if I'm in a hurry, these are my go-to's. If you want to know my thoughts about any of these, please let me know in the comments or simpy send me an email at makeupsuite@gmail.com. I'll be glad to share them with you.

Anna
